Day 1: Arrival at Ramnagar – Transfer to Corbett

Arrive at Ramnagar railway station and transfer to your jungle lodge near Jim Corbett National Park. After check-in, relax with welcome drinks and explore the property surrounded by sal forests. Post lunch, enjoy a leisurely riverside nature walk along the Kosi River, spotting kingfishers and deer. Later, visit the Garjiya Devi Temple perched on a rock in the river. Return by dusk and freshen up. In the evening, enjoy a bonfire with local folk music and dinner at the lodge.
Travel Tip: Keep binoculars handy and wear earthy-toned clothes to blend into nature.

Day 2: Corbett Safari & Local Exploration

Wake up early for an exciting jeep safari in Corbett National Park’s core zones like Bijrani or Dhikala. Spot wildlife like elephants, deer, and—if lucky—the Bengal tiger. After breakfast back at the lodge, take a break. In the afternoon, visit the Corbett Museum in Kaladhungi, housed in Jim Corbett’s colonial bungalow. Stop by the Corbett Waterfall for a peaceful break amidst chirping birds. End the day with a jungle documentary screening and dinner under the stars.
Travel Tip: Book safaris well in advance; morning safaris offer better chances of animal sightings.

    Day 3: Corbett to Almora

Check out after breakfast and begin the scenic drive to Almora, a town rich in culture and mountain views. En route, stop for snacks at a highway-side dhaba offering parathas and chai. Reach Almora by afternoon and check into a heritage stay or boutique hotel. Post-lunch, stroll through the cobbled lanes of Lala Bazaar, famous for local crafts and copperware. Visit the Govind Ballabh Pant Museum and enjoy the sunset at Bright End Corner. Savor traditional Kumaoni thali for dinner.
Travel Tip: Buy Bal Mithai from local sweet shops—it’s a local delicacy you shouldn’t miss.

Day 4: Day Trip to Jageshwar Temples & Dandeshwar

After an early breakfast, head out for a spiritual excursion to Jageshwar (1.5 hrs one way), home to 124 ancient stone temples nestled in deodar forests. Explore the temple complex, which is considered one of the Jyotirlingas. Walk a short distance to Dandeshwar Temple and enjoy a peaceful riverside picnic lunch. Return to Almora by late afternoon. Spend the evening visiting Kasar Devi Temple, a historic energy spot frequented by artists and seekers. Dinner back at the hotel.
Travel Tip: Wear easy-to-remove footwear for temple visits; carry water and sunblock.

Day 5: Cultural Immersion & Leisure in Almora

Start your day with a yoga session or a nature walk around your stay. After breakfast, visit local villages or take part in a Kumaoni cooking class offered by some homestays. In the afternoon, explore Deer Park and relax amidst pine-scented air. Head to Simtola Eco Park for stunning panoramic views and photography. Wind down your day at a rooftop café with mountain views, enjoying momos, soups, or traditional snacks.
Travel Tip: Support local women-run cafés and craft stores—they offer authentic flavors and souvenirs.

Day 6: Almora to Kosi – Riverside Stay

Leave Almora after breakfast and drive to Kosi village near Someshwar for a unique riverside experience. Check into an eco-lodge or tented camp set along the pristine river. Spend your afternoon relaxing on the riverbank, enjoying a book or a quiet siesta. You can opt for light angling or birdwatching with a guide. In the evening, enjoy a candle-lit dinner by the river under the stars, accompanied by folk tunes or the sound of flowing water.
Travel Tip: Avoid loud music to maintain the peaceful ecosystem; pack insect repellent.

Day 7: Kosi to Kathgodam Departure

Enjoy a final riverside breakfast amidst the gentle morning breeze. Check out and drive to Kathgodam station for your train. On the way, stop at Kainchi Dham Ashram, associated with Neem Karoli Baba and Steve Jobs. Pick up local jams, pickles, and handmade woollens from roadside stalls. Reach Kathgodam in time for your afternoon or evening train with hearts full of Kumaoni warmth and adventure.
